As we know that $$First\ number\times\ Second\ number\ =\ LCM\times\ HCF$$
If LCM of two numbers 390 and 420 is 5460
$$390\times\ 420\ =\ 5460\times\ HCF$$
HCF = $$\frac{(390\times420)}{5460}$$
= $$\frac{163800}{5460}$$
= 30
