Solution

The perimeter of a rectangle is 40 cm. If its breadth is 8 cm.

perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length+breadth)

40 = 2(length+8)

(length+8) = 20

length = 20-8 = 12 cm

Difference between the length and breadth of this rectangle = 12-8

= 4 cm
