The length ofa rectangle is 24 cm.If the length of diagonal is 26 cm, then what will be the breadth of the rectangle?
Solution
Given, Length of the rectangle = 24 cm
Let the Breadth of the rectangle = b cm
Diagonal of the rectangle = $$\sqrt{l^2+b^2}$$
$$\sqrt{24^2+b^2} = 26$$
=> $$576+b^2 = 676$$
=> $$b^2 = 100$$
=> $$b = 10$$
Therefore, Breadth of the rectangle = 10 cm
