If $$A+B=12$$ and $$AB=17$$, What is the value of $$A^{3}+B^{3}$$ ?

Solution

$$A^{3}+B^{3}$$

= $$(A + B)^3 -3AB(A+B)$$

= $$(12)^3 - 3 \times 17(12)$$

= 1728 - 612 = 1116
