Question 54

If $$A$$ is 20% less than $$B$$, then what will be the value of $$\frac{(2B — A)}{A}$$?

Solution

Let B = 100x
Then, A = 80% of 100x = 80x
$$\dfrac{2B-A}{A} = \dfrac{200x - 80x}{80x} = \dfrac{120x}{80x} = \dfrac{3}{2}$$
