Question 53

If $$4A = 6B = 5C$$; then $$A : B : C$$ is:

Solution

$$4A = 6B = 5C$$

$$\frac{A}{B\ }\ =\ \frac{6}{4}\ =\ \frac{3}{2}$$

A : B = 3:2    Eq.(i)

$$\frac{B}{C}\ =\ \frac{5}{6}$$

B : C = 5:6    Eq.(ii)

Multiply Eq.(i) by 5 and Eq.(ii) by 2 for merging the given equations.

A : B : C = $$3\times5 : 2\times5 : 6\times2$$

A : B : C = 15 : 10 : 12
