Question 52

If P : Q = 5 : 2, then (2P - 3Q) : (3P - 5Q) is equal to:

Solution

$$\frac{P}{Q} = \frac{5}{2}$$

$$\frac{2p - 3Q}{3P - 5Q}$$

Divide by Q both numerator and denominator ,

$$\frac{2 \times \frac{P}{Q} - 3}{3 \times \frac{P}{Q} - 5}$$

=$$\frac{2 \times \frac{5}{2} - 3}{3 \times \frac{5}{2} - 5}$$

= 4:5

So, the answer would be option c) 4:5.
