The sum of three consecutive natural numbers each divisible by 5, is 225. The largest among them is

Solution

Let the three consecutive natural numbers each divisible by 5 be $$(5x-5),(5x),(5x+5)$$

Sum = $$(5x-5)+(5x)+(5x+5)=225$$

=> $$15x=225$$

=> $$x=\frac{225}{15}=15$$

$$\therefore$$ Largest number = $$5(15)+5=75+5=80$$

=> Ans - (D)
