Let total work to be done = 18 units
A and B can together do the work in 6 days
=> (A+B)'s 1 day's work = $$\frac{18}{6}=3$$ units/day
Similarly, A's efficiency = $$\frac{18}{9}=2$$ units/day
=> B's efficiency = $$3-2=1$$ unit/day
$$\therefore$$ Time taken by B alone = $$\frac{18}{1}=18$$ days
=> Ans - (A)
