Question 5

Angles of the triangle are in the ratio of 1:2:3. Choose the correct triangle for the given ratio.

Solution

Let the angles of the triangle be $$\theta,2\theta$$ and $$3\theta$$

Sum of angles of the triangle = $$\theta+2\theta+3\theta=180^\circ$$

=> $$6\theta=180^\circ$$

=> $$\theta=\frac{180^\circ}{6}=30^\circ$$

$$\therefore$$ Angles of the triangle = $$30^\circ,$$ $$60^\circ$$ and $$90^\circ$$

Thus, it is a right angled triangle.

=> Ans - (C)
