Question 40

If 5#5 = -25, -4#-3 = -12 and 3#-3 = 9, then find the value of 4#5 = ?

Solution

Given : 5#5 = -25, -4#-3 = -12 and 3#-3 = 9

If we replace '#' with $$'\times'$$ and multiply the product with '-1', then we will get the desired result.

Eg :- $$(5\times5)\times(-1)=-25$$

and $$(-4\times-3)\times(-1)=-12$$

and $$(3\times-3)\times(-1)=9$$

Similarly, $$(4\times5)\times(-1)=-20$$

=> Ans - (D)
