The following equation is incorrect. Which two signs should be interchanged to correct the equation?
$$8 + 2- 40 \div 5 \times 16 = 44$$

Solution

Expression : 8 + 2- 40 ÷ 5 x 16 = 44

(A) : ÷ and +

$$\equiv8\div2-40+5\times16=44$$

L.H.S. = $$(\frac{8}{2})-40+(5\times16)$$

= $$4-40+80=44=$$ R.H.S.

=> Ans - (A)
