Question 40

If 18Δ4 = 11, 16Δ8 = 12 and 6Δ12 = 9, then find the value of 18Δ14 = ?

Solution

Given : 18Δ4 = 11, 16Δ8 = 12 and 6Δ12 = 9

If we replace 'Δ' with '+', and divide the sum by 2, we get the desired result.

Eg :- $$\frac{18+4}{2}=11$$

and $$\frac{16+8}{2}=12$$ and $$\frac{6+12}{2}=9$$

Similarly, $$\frac{18+14}{2}=16$$

=> Ans - (A)
