Question 35

What is the equation of the line if its slope is 4/3 and it passes through the point (-7 , 2)?

Solution

Equation of line with slope $$m = \frac{4}{3}$$ and passing through $$(x_1,y_1) = (-7,2)$$

= $$(y - y_1) = m (x - x_1)$$

= $$(y - 2) = \frac{4}{3} (x + 7)$$

= $$3y - 6 = 4x + 28$$

= $$4x - 3y = -34$$

=> Ans - (D)
