Let present age of R = $$9x$$ years and of P = $$11x$$ years
According to ques,
=> $$\frac{9x+7}{11x+7}=\frac{26}{31}$$
=> $$279x+217=286x+182$$
=> $$286x-279x=217-182$$
=> $$7x=35$$
=> $$x=\frac{35}{7}=5$$
