The costs of daily ticket of local train is Rs 160 and Monthly Pass costs Rs 2912. If I buy the Monthly Pass and travel for 26 days in a month then I save?

Solution

Train ticket cost for 1 day = Rs. 160

=> Cost for 26 days = 26 $$\times$$ 160 = Rs. 4160

Cost of monthly pass = Rs. 2912

=> Money saved = 4160 - 2912 = Rs. 1248

$$\therefore$$ Required % = $$\frac{1248}{4160} \times 100 = 30\%$$
