Average of 11 numbers is 7. If every number is doubled, then what will be the new average of the numbers?

Solution

Average of 11 numbers = 7

=> Sum of 11 numbers = $$7\times11=77$$

If each number is doubled, then new sum = $$77\times2=154$$

$$\therefore$$ New average = $$\frac{154}{11}=14$$

=> Ans - (D)
