If 38 # 49 = 24 and 96 # 51 = 21, then 87 # 78 = ?

Solution

Given : 38 # 49 = 24 and 96 # 51 = 21

The pattern followed is that the sum of digits of both the numbers is equal to the number at the right.

Eg :- $$(3+8)+(4+9)=24$$

and $$(9+6)+(5+1)=21$$

Similarly, $$(8+7)+(7+8)=30$$
