In ΔPQR measure of angle Q is $$90^\circ$$. If $$tan P = \frac{24}{7}$$, and PQ = 14cm, then what is the length (in cm) of side QR?

Solution

Given : PQ = 14 cm and $$tan P = \frac{24}{7}$$

To find : QR = ?

Solution : In right $$\triangle$$ PQR,

=> $$tan(P)=\frac{QR}{PQ}$$

=> $$\frac{24}{7}=\frac{QR}{14}$$

=> $$QR=\frac{24}{7}\times14=48$$ cm

=> Ans - (D)
