If the area of a semi-circle is $$693 cm^2$$, then find its radius (in cm).

Solution

Let radius of the semi-circle = $$r$$ cm

=> Area = $$\frac{1}{2}\times\pi r^2$$=693$$

=> $$\frac{1}{2}\times\frac{22}{7}\times r^2=693$$

=> $$r^2=693\times\frac{7}{11}$$

=> $$r=\sqrt{63\times7}=3\times7=21$$ cm

=> Ans - (C)
