Eight members A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H belonging to three families X, Y, Z go for weekend outing in three different cars I, II. III. Four out of eight members are females. Members of any one family travel in different cars. Each car has at least one male and one female member. Each family has at
least two members. A belongs to family Y and he travels in car III. D is wife of E and they travel in cars I and II respectively. H is son of B who is wife of G and they belong to family Z. C is daughter of F who is wife of A. C travels in car II. G does not travel with F.
C(female) , F(female) and A(male) Â belongs to family Y.
H(male) , B(female) and G(male) belong to same family Z.
D (female) travels in car I and E (male) travels in car II and they are of same family i.e., family X.
A travels in car III and C travels in car II, => F travels in car I, since they belong to same family.
Now, B,G and H are left among them only B is female, since in each car there is at least one male and female, now car III in which A(male) travels, => B(female) also travel in car III.
$$\because$$ B,G and H belong to same family and B travels in car III, => G or H travel in either car I or II.
G does not travel with F, => G travels in car II and H in car I.
The females are = B,C,D,F
