A sells 12 bicycles at a profit of ₹ 516 per bicycle and sells 3 bicycles at a loss of ₹ 129 per bicycle. If the total profit percentage on all the bicycles sold is 15%. the cost price per bicycle is:
Let say, cost price of a bicycle is X.
Cost price of 15 bicycle is 15X.
Then selling price of total 15 bicycle is
$$=12(X+516)+3(X-129)=(15X+5805).$$
Selling price of 15 bicycle$$=15×(1.15X)$$.
So, $$15X+5805=17.25X$$
or,$$2.25X=5805$$
or,$$X=2580.$$
C is correct choice.
