If cosec θ + 3 sec θ = 5 cosec θ, then what is the value of cot θ?

Solution

Given : $$cosec\theta+3sec\theta=5cosec\theta$$

=> $$3sec\theta=5cosec\theta-cosec\theta$$

=> $$3sec\theta=4cosec\theta$$

=> $$\frac{3}{cos\theta}=\frac{4}{sin\theta}$$

=> $$\frac{cos\theta}{sin\theta}=\frac{3}{4}$$

=> $$cot\theta=\frac{3}{4}$$

=> Ans - (B)
