The percentage profits of four leading airliners A, B, C and D for six years 18 shown in the line graph below.

Question 140

In 2016, investment made by A is ₹437 crore. B invests 20% more than A, C invests 20% less than B and D invests 20% more than C. If the profit earned by each is the average profit per cent in 2016, who earns least revenue?

Investment made by A = ₹437 crore

B invests 20% more than A = 1.2*437 crore

C invests 205 less than B = 1.2*0.8*437 = 0.96*473 crore

D invests 20% more than C = 1.2*0.96*473 = 1.152*473 crore

If the profit earned by each is the average profit per cent in 2016.If the profit earned by each is the average profit per cent in 2016

That means A, B, C and D earn equal profit percentages.

Revenue = Investment + Profit

Since the profit percentage is same.

The company which invest less will earn less revenue.

Therefore, the least revenue will be of company C.
