let the price per apple be Rs P
and Number of apples be N
PN = 54
Now reduction in price by 20% , the new price = 0.8 P
and due to reduction a person can buy 10 more apples in same price
0.8P(N+10) = 54
0.8 x 54 + 8P = 54
8P = 10.8
P = Rs 1.35
cost of 12 apples after reduction in price = 12 x 1.35 x 0.8 = Rs 12.96
