If ΔPQR is right angled at Q, PQ = 12 and ∠PRQ = 30°, then what is the value of QR?

Solution

Given : ΔPQR is right angled at Q, PQ = 12 and ∠PRQ = 30°

To find : QR = ?

Solution : $$tan(\angle R)=\frac{PQ}{QR}$$

=> $$tan(30^\circ)=\frac{12}{QR}$$

=> $$\frac{1}{\sqrt3}=\frac{12}{QR}$$

=> $$QR=12\sqrt3$$ cm

=> Ans - (A)
