A person travelled from station A to station B at 40 km/h and from to A at 30 km/h.The entire journey took 6.3 hours. What is the distance (in km) between A and B?
Solution
Let the Distance be D form A to B.
Time = $$\frac{distance}{speed}$$
According to question,
$$\frac{D}{40} +Â \frac{D}{30} = 6.3$$
$$ \frac{7D}{120} = 6.3$$
D = $$\frac{756}{7} $$= 108 km.
