Question 129

The perimeter of a rectangular field is 52 m. If the length of the field is 2 m more than thrice the breadth, then what is the breadth of the field?

Solution

Let the breadth of the field be $$x$$ m and length = $$(3x+2)$$ m

=> Perimeter of rectangular field = $$2[(x)+(3x+2)]=52$$

=> $$4x+2=26$$

=> $$4x=26-2=24$$

=> $$x=\frac{24}{4}=6$$ m

=> Ans - (D)
