The radius of a wheel is 3.5 cm. What is the distance (in cm) travelled by the wheel in 20 revolutions?

Solution

Circumference of wheel $$(r=3.5)$$ = $$2\pi r$$

= $$2\times\frac{22}{7}\times3.5=22$$ cm

Distance covered in 1 revolution = Circumference of wheel = $$22$$ cm

=> Distance covered in 20 revolutions = $$22\times20=440$$ cm

=> Ans - (B)
