Question 116

What is the difference between Graduate male population and XII Standard male population from State A ?

Solution

Total graduate population of State A = $$\frac{16}{100} \times 24$$ lakhs

=> Graduate male population of State A = $$\frac{7}{12} \times \frac{16}{100} \times 24$$ lakhs

= $$7 \times 0.32 = 2.24$$ lakhs

Total standard XII population of State A = $$\frac{15}{100} \times 32$$ lakhs

=> XII Standard male population from State A = $$\frac{7}{16} \times \frac{15}{100} \times 32$$ lakhs

= $$14 \times 0.15 = 2.10$$ lakhs

$$\therefore$$ Required difference = $$(2.24 - 2.10)$$ lakhs

= $$14,000$$
