If $$66\frac{2}{3}\%$$ of 75% of one-eighth of a certain number is 179, then $$33\frac{1}{3}\%$$ of three-fourth of that number is:

Solution

Let the certain number = n

then according to question $$n\times 66\dfrac{2}{3}$$% $$\times 75 $$% $$\times \dfrac {1}{8} = 179 $$

$$\Rightarrow n \times \dfrac {200}{300} \times \dfrac{3}{4} \times \dfrac{1}{8}= 179 $$

$$\Rightarrow n\times \dfrac{1}{16} = 179 $$

$$\Rightarrow n = 2864$$

then that number = $$ 2864 \times \dfrac{100}{300}\times \dfrac{3}{4} $$

the number = 716 Ans
