The average weight of two players P and Q of a football team is 38 kg. The average weight of P, Q and their coach T is 49 kg. What is the weight (in kg) of coach?
Let weight of P, Q and T be $$x,y,z$$ kg respectively.
Average weight of P and Q = $$\frac{x+y}{2}=38$$
=> $$x+y=76$$ ------------(i)
Similarly, $$x+y+z=147$$ -----------(ii)
Subtracting equation (i) from (ii), we get :
=> $$z=147-76=71$$
$$\therefore$$ Weight (in kg) of coach =Â 71 kg
