x²+x-6=0 ; y²-y-12=0... what will be the answer .. (y>=x or ;x=y no relation) please explain me.

Factors of x will be -3 and 2

Factors of y will be -3 and 4

So While comparing we will get 3 signs between the factors

Hence, No Relation will be there

X<=Y

X=<Y

No relation

x=y

$$y \ge x$$

Solving $$x^2 + x - 6 = 0$$

$$\implies (x + 3)(x - 2) = 0$$

Therefore , $$x$$ = 2 or -3

Similarly , $$y^2 - y - 12 = 0$$

$$\implies (y - 4)(y + 3) = 0$$

Therefore , $$y$$ = -3 or 4

The values taken by $x$$ and $$y$$ can be said $$ y \ge x$$
