QS MBA Rankings 2027
The QS Global MBA Rankings 2027 feature 19 Indian MBA programmes, including five new entries. However, only three Indian MBA colleges have secured a place in the global top 100 this year. The latest QS Global MBA Rankings were released on September 16, 2026. The ranking covers more than 420 full-time MBA programmes across 65 countries and territories. MIT Sloan has taken the top position, followed by Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business. IIM Bangalore remains India's highest-ranked institution, but its global position has dropped compared with the previous edition and is now ranked 64th. IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta have also slipped in the latest ranking.

The QS Global MBA Rankings 2027 PDF contains the ranking details of full-time MBA programmes across different countries and regions. QS evaluates business schools using factors such as employability, return on investment, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, thought leadership, and class and faculty diversity.
Candidates can check the official QS ranking to compare the global position and overall scores of participating MBA programmes.
QS also provides separate regional rankings for areas such as Asia, Europe, the United States, Canada, Latin America, Oceania, and the Middle East and Africa.
Indian MBA colleges QS ranking
Three Indian Institutes of Management have remained in the QS Global MBA top 100 in 2027. IIM Bangalore continues to lead the Indian list, followed by IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta.

The QS 2027 ranking includes 19 Indian MBA programmes, compared with five Indian institutions in the ranking in 2020. Five Indian institutions have entered the ranking for the first time this year.
This gives aspirants a broader list of Indian B-schools to consider, although the three IIMs remain the only Indian institutions within the global top 100 in the 2027 edition.
What does the QS ranking measure?
QS uses five major indicators to evaluate full-time MBA programmes:

Employability carries the highest weight at 40%. Return on investment accounts for another 20%, while entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes and thought leadership contribute 15% each. Diversity makes up the remaining 10%.
QS combines employer and academic surveys with information provided by business schools. Its methodology also considers quantitative information such as graduate salaries and class profiles.
QS Global MBA Rankings 2027
MIT Sloan has moved to the top of the QS Global MBA Rankings 2027 after ranking third in the previous edition. Harvard Business School is second, while Stanford Graduate School of Business takes third place.

Outside the US and Europe, the National University of Singapore is the highest-ranked MBA programme in Asia at 23rd globally. QS also places UNSW highly among Australian business schools.
QS MBA Ranking 2027: IIMs and Other Top B-Schools
The QS MBA Rankings 2027 show a strong presence of US and European B-schools at the top. MIT Sloan, Harvard, Stanford and Wharton occupy the first four positions. Among Asian schools, NUS is the highest-ranked at 23rd, followed by Tsinghua at 29th.

- IIM Bangalore remains India's highest-ranked B-school, but it is behind several leading Asian programmes in the QS ranking.
- IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta follow at 70th and 95th, respectively.
- The picture changes when we look at the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2027.
- FT placed CEIBS 8th, Nanyang 12th, ISB 12th and Peking University 14th. Six Indian programmes also ranked above IIM Bangalore's QS position. This shows that rankings can produce different results depending on their methodology.
- Therefore, QS 2027 shows that Indian representation is growing, with 19 Indian MBA programmes included, but the leading positions remain concentrated in US and European schools.
- The FT ranking, meanwhile, gives greater visibility to several Indian and Asian B-schools.
QS MBA Rankings 2027 vs Previous Year
The top of the QS ranking has changed again in 2027. MIT Sloan, which stood third in the previous edition, has moved to first place. Harvard Business School is now second, while Stanford GSB has moved into third.
For Indian B-schools, the movement has been downward across all three institutions in the top 100.

The changes are more pronounced for IIM Calcutta, which has moved down 31 positions. IIM Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad have each declined by 12 positions.
