Let A's salary in 2004 = $$Rs. 100x$$

=> B's salary in 2004 = $$Rs. (18,000 - 100x)$$

In 2005 monthly salary of A and B increased by 14% and 20% respectively.

Also, A’s salary became 76% of B’s salary.

=> $$150x + 120x = 270x = 21600$$
