Solution

Number of projects handled by company B in 2004 and 2005 together

= 168 + 274 = 442

=> Average = $$\frac{442}{2} = 221$$

Number of projects handled by company D in 2007 and 2008 together

= 158 + 198 = 356

=> Average = $$\frac{356}{2} = 178$$

$$\therefore$$ Required difference = 221 - 178 = 43
