The IOQM Expected Cutoff 2026 gives students an initial reference to assess their chances of qualifying for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad. With IOQM conducted on September 6, 2026, the next question for many students is whether their estimated score will be enough for the next stage.

What Score Is Required to Qualify for RMO 2026?
Students must score at least 10% of the total marks to be considered for RMO selection. However, scoring 10 marks does not automatically qualify a student.
The official IOQM-to-RMO selection criteria specify the following:

If your score is close to the estimate, continue preparing while awaiting the final selection list. Neither crossing an estimated range nor meeting a certificate threshold confirms RMO qualification.

What Happens After Clearing the IOQM 2026 Cutoff?
Students selected through IOQM become eligible for the Regional Mathematical Olympiad, subject to the applicable eligibility requirements. HBCSE has scheduled RMO 2026 for November 15, from 1 PM to 4 PM.
Your preparation should now include writing complete mathematical arguments. Getting the final answer is only part of the task; you must explain why your reasoning works.
