Hund's Rule of Maximum Multiplicity

### Formula:

$$\text{Maximum unpaired electrons}=\text{Number of available orbitals}$$

### Terminologies:

- Hund's Rule β†’ Rule stating electrons occupy degenerate orbitals singly before pairing.

- Degenerate Orbitals β†’ Orbitals having equal energy.

- Unpaired Electron β†’ Electron occupying an orbital alone.

### Usage:

- Used to write correct electronic configuration of atoms.
