    FMS Delhi Selection Criteria 2026

FMS Delhi remains one of the most competitive MBA colleges in India. Every year, thousands of CAT aspirants apply for a limited number of seats. Therefore, understanding the FMS Delhi Selection Criteria 2026 is very important.

The selection process is not based only on the CAT percentile. Instead, FMS uses a composite evaluation method. CAT section scores, academics, interview performance, and diversity factors all matter.

Moreover, female candidates receive additional marks to promote gender diversity. The process happens in two major stages: shortlisting for interview and final merit list preparation.

FMS Delhi generally calls 1500 to 2000 candidates. Based on the composite score, the PI shortlistings happen. Let’s check how this process moves forward and what the academic requirements are.

    FMS Delhi Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates must meet academic requirements. FMS follows the University of Delhi rules for eligibility.

    Academic Eligibility

    CategoryMinimum Marks in Graduation
    General50%
    OBC-NCL / EWS / PWD / CW45%
    SC/STPassing Marks

    Additional Conditions:

    • A bachelor's degree after 12 years of schooling is mandatory.
    • Final-year students can apply. But must submit the final mark sheet at the time of admission.
    • CGPA must be converted to a percentage using the official conversion of the respective college.
    • The CAT 2025 score is compulsory for shortlisting and composite score calculation.

Thus, even students in the final year can apply, but proof of eligibility must be submitted during admission.

    FMS Delhi Shortlisting Criteria

Shortlisting is the first major stage. FMS does not directly use the overall CAT percentile. Instead, sectional scaled scores are converted into a Weighted Composite Score.

    Composite Score Formula

    CAT SectionWeightage
    VARC40%
    DILR30%
    QA30%

    Bonus Marks:

    • Female candidates receive +5 marks

This method helps maintain academic and gender diversity. Therefore, students strong in VARC may get an advantage due to higher weightage.

The official selection notice explains how candidates are shortlisted and selected. It includes seat categories, composite score formula, and interview details.

FMS publishes category-wise composite score cutoffs for shortlisting. The composite score is calculated using CAT sectional performance.
