Today, as Cracku celebrates its 12th anniversary, we are not just celebrating another year. We are celebrating every student who trusted us, every challenge that made us stronger, and every milestone that shaped our journey.
What started as a dream shared by a few passionate individuals has grown into one of India's trusted learning platforms for competitive exam preparation. Over the years, Cracku has helped millions of students prepare for exams like CAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT, CMAT, IPMAT, and now JEE.
As we look back on the last twelve years, we are reminded that every achievement has been possible because of one thing the trust of our students.
Where It All Began: A Dream to Make Learning Better
Every successful company has a beginning, and ours was built on a simple purpose rather than a business plan. We wanted to make competitive exam preparation simpler, more affordable, and more effective for students across the country.
Long before Cracku was founded, we believed that technology could transform the way students learn. Instead of making education complicated, we wanted to create a platform that focused on clarity, quality, and outcomes.
That vision became the foundation of everything we have built over the last twelve years, and it continues to guide us even today.
2008: The IIT Bombay Hostel Room
The story of Cracku began in 2008, inside a hostel room at IIT Bombay. Maruti Konduri sir and Srikanth sir were engineering students, spending their days attending classes and their evenings discussing ideas that could solve real-world problems.
Like many students, they dreamed of building something meaningful. Those conversations were never about starting a company. They were about creating value and using technology to make learning better for students.
Looking back today, it's incredible to think that those discussions inside a hostel room would one day grow into a platform trusted by millions of aspirants across India.
2011: A Mission Takes Shape at IIM Ahmedabad
A few years later, the dream became much clearer.
Maruti Sir and Sayali Mam graduated from IIM Ahmedabad, while Srikanth completed his MBA from IIM Calcutta after graduating in Computer Science from IIT Bombay. Each of them had excellent career opportunities waiting, but they wanted to build something that could create a lasting impact.
Instead of choosing comfortable corporate careers, they chose entrepreneurship. Their goal was simple to combine education, technology, and affordability to help students prepare smarter for competitive exams.
It wasn't the easiest path, but it was one they truly believed in.
Three Founders, One Shared Mission
Although each founder came from a different academic journey, they shared the same purpose.
Maruti sir brought a deep understanding of competitive exams and student needs. Sayali contributed strategic thinking and business leadership. Srikanth built the technology that would become the backbone of the platform.
Together, they believed that education should not only be high quality but also affordable and accessible. That shared vision eventually became the identity of Cracku.
2014: Cracku Officially Begins Its Journey
In 2014, Cracku officially started its journey.
There was no external funding, no large office, and no big marketing budget. Everything began with personal savings, countless late nights, and an unwavering belief that students deserved better preparation resources.
The first product was CAT Mock Tests priced at just ₹499. The objective wasn't simply to sell mock tests; it was to make quality preparation available to every aspirant at an affordable price.
To spread the word, the founders personally printed flyers and distributed them outside coaching centres, colleges, and on busy streets. They interacted with students directly, explained the platform, answered questions, and encouraged them to experience a new way of preparing for CAT.
Every student who joined became a source of motivation. Every piece of feedback helped improve the platform. Every success story strengthened the belief that Cracku was moving in the right direction.
The First Cracku Office: Small Space, Big Dreams
Like many startups, Cracku's first office was anything but luxurious.
It was a small apartment in Kondapur, Hyderabad. The living room doubled as a meeting space, bedrooms became workstations, and every corner reflected the excitement of building something from scratch.
Growing Together: From a Small Team to a Strong Community The team worked long hours creating mock tests, writing study material, improving explanations, and developing features that genuinely helped students. There were no shortcuts only hard work, persistence, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Looking back today, that small office represents much more than a workplace. It reminds us that great ideas don't need grand beginnings. They simply need passionate people who believe in them.
From a Small Team to a Strong Community
In the early years, every student mattered.
Each mock test attempt, every suggestion, and every success story helped shape Cracku into the platform it is today. Instead of chasing rapid growth, the focus was always on creating value for students.
That student-first approach helped build something far more valuable than numbers it built trust. And over the years, that trust became the strongest foundation of our journey.
A New Office, the Same Student-First Vision
As more students began trusting Cracku, our journey gained momentum. What started with a small team slowly grew into a community of educators, developers, designers, marketers, content creators, and support teams all working towards one common goal.
With every new student, we learned something valuable. Their feedback helped us improve our mock tests, refine our content, and build features that made preparation more effective. Every success story reminded us why we had started this journey in the first place.
Growth for us was never about numbers alone. It was about building a platform that students could rely on throughout their preparation. That trust became our greatest achievement and continues to inspire everything we do.

As more students started trusting Cracku, we continued to grow. What began as a small team with a big dream slowly became one of India's trusted platforms for competitive exam preparation. Along the way, we introduced mock tests, previous year papers, preparation blogs, daily practice questions, exam updates, performance analysis, and many other CAT study materials to help students prepare better.
Our growth was possible because of our amazing team. Over the years, talented educators, developers, designers, content writers, marketers, and support teams joined us. Every person brought new ideas, but we all worked towards the same goal helping students achieve their dreams. Every mock test, every blog, and every new feature reflects the hard work and dedication of our team.
Today, as we move into our new office, it feels like another special milestone in our journey. It reminds us of how far we've come from a small apartment in Kondapur to a modern workplace. While our office has changed, our mission has remained the same. We are still driven by the same passion to create better learning experiences and help every student succeed.
A New Chapter Begins: Expanding into JEE
For the past twelve years, Cracku has been recognised for helping students prepare for CAT and other MBA entrance exams.
Now, we are excited to take the next big step by expanding into JEE preparation.
This journey feels especially meaningful because our founders themselves have experienced this path. With JEE AIR 20 and JEE AIR 29 from IIT Bombay, they understand the challenges, dedication, and discipline required to succeed.
As we enter the JEE ecosystem, our promise remains unchanged to provide high-quality learning, powerful technology, and affordable preparation that helps every student unlock their potential.
