CAT Exam Centres List 2025
The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 will be organized in more than one hundred and fifty places that were specially chosen for the test. Each test centres is linked to some specific cities in several states so that it is easier for the candidates to get to the testing locations.

CAT Exam City Selection Process
During CAT 2025 registration, candidates can select up to 6 preferred exam cities from the official list. The allocation is on a first-come, first-served basis and depends on seat availability in the chosen cities.
Steps to Select CAT Exam City
- Log in to the official CAT registration portal
- Choose up to 6 cities in order of preference
- Review and confirm selections before final submission
Allocations are made considering the preferences, but candidates may be allotted a different city if seats are not available in the chosen locations.

CAT Exam Centre Allocation 2025
The CAT exam centre allocation is based on the following criteria:
- Preference order submitted during registration
- Availability of seats in the selected cities
- Geographical proximity to candidate’s address (if possible)
Once the allocation is done, the details are listed on the CAT hall ticket, released about two weeks before the exam date.
How To Change CAT Exam Centres 2025?
If a candidate wishes to change the CAT exam centres after submitting the application, the official CAT authorities generally do NOT allow change of exam centres after the last date of CAT Form correction window. The correction window, usually a short period after registration closes, may allow edits to the selected exam cities. But now the correction window is closed so you cannot change the test centre now.
Steps to Change CAT Exam Centre (during correction window)
- Access the CAT application correction link as announced
- Modify previously chosen exam city preferences
- Submit the changes before the correction window ends
Outside the correction window, it is not possible to change the exam centre for CAT 2025.

How Many Test Centres Will CAT 2025 Have?
The CAT 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in over 155 test cities with thousands of test centres, similar to previous years. The count may slightly increase or decrease depending on candidate volume and other factors.

Can You Change the CAT Exam Centre After Allotment?
Once the CAT exam centre is allotted and the admit card is released, candidates CANNOT request a change in the test centres. The centres is final and no appeal or request for shifts is entertained.
