Could someone please help with a Quant strategy to me. I am aware of this strategy that you should first attempt absolute sitters and then go for medium level ones. But somehow during the mock, I always end up going in sequence and some or the easy looking questions baits me into spending more time.

Hi As you said you end up solving in sequence and missing very easy questions , so in my opinion you can try a method where you solve all questions from the topic which is your strength or more confident of irrespective of difficulty . For ex If Arithmetic is your strength then go for arithmetic first , if algebra then go for algebra first , this will boost your confidence otherwise identifying easy questions and solving them first is a good approach , try to give a question a minute or half and if you feel you can make it then go for it , and also keep in mind don't spend more than 2.5minutes on any question .

My scores in DILR fluctuate a lot and I observed that my scores hit low when the test has 2-3 sets based purely on DI. Though at first it seem easy to me but they ten to consume a lot of time leaving me with not much time to solve other sets, and when I see the solutions,they usually solve it in a much shorter way.What should I do? and sometimes when my set selection is right, I am not able to crack the puzzle. and what is, this happens on the D-day?Quite tensed.

Hi First of all it is unlikely that CAT will give 2-3 pure DI based sets, you might encounter this in sectionals just to make you practice of a particular topic but in CAT it is unlikely, so don't take the scores to your heart. Now if you select a set and is not able to crack , you should not waste any time on that (the threshold is 5 minutes ) and immediately leave the set and move on to the next one . If you don't have much choice , then try to go through the questions and see what is actually asked and sometimes questions help a lot , looking at options , cases possible etc. so refer to them as well . But always try to pick the first set from your strength topic and try to solve first set correctly as that boosts a lot of confidence in the exam.

which difficulty level in cracku sectionals is close to cat

It is on par with cat as we saw last year in a couple of slots the VARC section was pretty daunting and difficult I am scoring sometimes 27ish and still be getting 97 percentile in sectionals.
