Hi 2500 per month for first 3 months so when principal is 10,000 interest will be 4P per month now for 3 months interest will be 12P and now remaining 15 months we will pay 2Q as it is said Q for every 5000 so 2Q will be interest for 10000 So total interest becomes 12P+30Q

The difference between interest on 9th year and 8th year is the interest on interest for the 8th year please explain this statement with an example taking 100x

Hi I will explain you for lesser values i.e when time is less and you can apply it similarly for all values Let principal be 100x and R be 10 % Now the interest for the first year is 10x(PR/100) Now for the second year we again get this 10x and we have to add interest on interest accumulated i.e interest for 2nd year will be 10x + 10/100 *10x = 10x+x=11x Now for the third year we will get 10x + ( Total interest till 3rd year ) on interest i.e we get 10x+(10x+10x+x)*10/100 = 10x+2.1x =12.1x so interest for 3rd year is 12.1 x . You can similarly solve for all the values proceeding in the similar manner.

Hi I think the bird should be at the top of the wall , Now taking it to be wall of height h and bird be at point P and considering B to be at right side at a distance x and A to be at a distance of x-30 on the left side Now PAB =60 and PBA=30 Now tan 30 = h/x we get h =x/rt3 Now tan 60=h/x-30 we get x=45 and h=15rt3.

Hi Try to reattempt the questions after the mock , figure out the areas where you have made errors , attempt more sectionals of the section where you are facing difficulties , try to solve past year question papers as well .

Did you guys also feel that Cracku DashCAT no. 6 to10 DILR section was really tough or was it only I who was washed away in DILR Section? Also, there is not much DI in all those mocks, can CAT also give any such paper without Traditional DI? (Just curious)

Hi The LRDI section is tough but every LRDI mock has an easy set or two and your aim should always be to identify that set and start your paper with that set as it boosts your confidence . As far as DI is concerned , from last few years there haven't been any direct DI set in CAT , and from past few years we are seeing miscellaneous puzzles or mix of LR and DI more in CAT relative to traditional LR or DI , and we have also tried to prepare the mocks on the similar lines .

Hi Jyoti, For the NMAT Verbal section, we have 32 questions of which 16 questions are a part of the CAT Exam these include te 12 questions in reading comprehension and 4 in the para jumbles. For the critical reasoning which is a part of the Logical Reasoning section we have 13 to 15 verbal critical reasoning questions. The syllogisms are relatively involving the Venn diagrams and has around 2 to 3 questions. Proper representation of the details provided will get you the answer and the Venn diagrams with only two different sets are relatively easy. The common critical reasoning questions in Strengthening the Argument, Weakening the Argument, Inferences, and Conclusions are something you see quite common while answering the Reading comprehension for CAT. Attempting and going through such questions after completing your CAT mocks would make you thorough for this part and they make up for 8 of the 16 critical reasoning questions and hold significance in the total score. The other kinds like Assumptions, Course of Action, and Arguments should be practiced by regularly assessing your mocks in the respective kinds after giving your mock and making sure to note the mistakes and rework on them.

Hello, my mock scores are stuck from at around mid 70s to 85. Could anyone help me with any piece of advice on how to get above this range? In analysis of mocks, I'm almost always cursing myself for not attempting the questions that I very much could do or making unforced errors. Any piece of genuine advice is welcome.

Hi Try to compare your past 3 - 4 mocks and identify the areas where you have committed more mistakes and then try to pay more attention to those areas . If you are not attempting the questions which you should attempt then one of the issue is in selection of question . In LRDI try to read all given sets within 5 mins and then start with your strengths and in quants as well try to skim the entire paper in the first 20 mins and attempt all the sitters in the first round nd then go for medium to tough level questions . Try not to make silly mistakes , even if you spend a minute or two extra in a particular question it is fine because one mistake costs you 4 marks which is very heavy . Try to be more accurate as that is the key .
