Hi, I will try to answer this question. I will focus more on what action items you should take [getting past the state is something that takes care of itself when you have a plan.] If an interview did not go well, there can be a number of factors responsible for it. The first thing that you should do is to retrospect as to why it went wrong? - Were you not confident? - Were you not prepared well? - Were you not able to answer the questions, despite proper preparation on your part? [This list is not an exhaustive list.] Some action items based on the answers: 1. If you were not confident, then you should focus on giving a few mock interviews before your next interview. Try asking your friends, seniors, mentors, and acquaintances who are in that field. Someone will definitely help you out. Confidence comes only when you are prepared well and have had a lot of practice. Mock interviews will take care of the latter. 2. This is a no-brainer. If you weren't prepared well, you should completely focus on the fundamentals before your next interview. Try to prioritize because you can spend time on n number of topics. A thumb rule to follow here is to know all that you are expected to know. For example - If you are interested in football, be ready to face a question as to who your favourite club is and when is their next match. You cannot be a fan and do not know these details. But, if you are asked questions like what is the total number of viewers of the FIFA world cup, it's expected that you might/might not know this number. 3. This happens when the interview went off-topic and you were asked questions that are not normally asked. This is the case in most stress interviews. Well, in this case, all that matters is how you handled the situation. Did you try to at least think about an approach or you gave in to the pressure?
