assuming, income minus expenditure is savings, let us say employee 1 earns 7k and employee 2 earns 4k (as the ratio given is 7:4) and let their savings be 3j and j respectively. As they save the same amount of money (7k-3j)=(4k-j) ----(1) and this implies j = (3/2)k; solving for any employee with these variables, we get 4k-(3/2)k = 4800 which implies k = 1920, the sum of their monthly income should be 7k+4k = 21120. definitely not suggested to join IMT looking at your CTC! You can continue your job and go for Executive MBA next year maybe if not looking to go for CAT again
