Didn't got IIM Calcutta call despite cat percentile 99.51 with full Mark's from 10th and 12th Mark's, how come pls suggest

My son scored in verbal 98.80 more then many toppers he got 86.60 in DLR but he can't achieve a good score in Quant section because of he studied commerce without maths after 10th standard He is a student of B. B. A International and studied in U. K and U.S for 3-3 month in two reputed university's... Is this fair a sectional score can affect badly his future plans

89 percentile in cat, 93 in X, 87 in XII and 81 in grad with 35 months of exp what calls to expect
