What is the meaning of the sentence -- '.... will best assuage the fear of the author...?' From XAT DM section. Please if you could assist

Die down the fear of the author.. The author is afraid of something, and hence what would you say to him (by giving him logical points) to show him that what he is afraid of , isn't that scary and something that he may not need to worry about.

For XAT, VARC apart from RCs which all topics shpuld be focus to score well?us

Hi XAT has poem RC's as well and more verbal part as compared to CAT . Try to go through the poem RC's video taken by Mam and try to attempt mocks as well as previous year XAT papers to get fair idea about the paper and pattern and then focus on topics which you feel you need to work on.

Mocks' scores are on a declining trend. Completely messing up. Giving mocks on alternate days with adequate analysis still unable to figure the way out. Kindly help.

Taking mocks and analyzing them is important, but something that is as important is working on the mistakes between mocks. If you take a mock, analyze it thoroughly and then take the next mock in the next couple of days without working on what went wrong in the first mock, you are not going to improve for sure because you have not worked on your mistakes. You are probably going to repeat them in the subsequent mocks and as a result, your scores will stagnate. This is a very common problem among aspirants. Keeping in mind that two and a half weeks are left for the exam, try to revise the concepts that you consider yourself strong in, also, focus more on concepts or topics that fetch you more marks, like, RC, Arithmetic, Arrangements and so on. This is just an example and not an exhaustive list. Do not take too many mocks, and if you are taking a mock, make sure to work on your mistakes so that the mock actually helps you out. Practise more from areas that will fetch you marks. We have included a very useful feature in our mocks and sectionals - The View Questions By Topic feature. In the next two weeks, make sure that you use this feature as much as you can. For example, while revising QA, go through all the questions that you had encountered in DashCATs or Cracku Sectionals in important QA topics - Time Work Speed, Algebra, Ratio Proportion, etc and this will provide you with a large number of questions that you could or could not attempt correctly while you were attempting the mocks. I believe this will be the best way to utilize your next couple of weeks and attempt the actual exam with a lot of confidence! Wish you all the best for the exam!

iam not Gem but i got call from FABM at 77 percentile last year ,profile-9,9,7.5 BSc Horticulture

I graduated in 2020. I have 4 months work experience as a management trainee in one of the top pharma - food ingredient manufacturers in India.

My VARC is giving me a very tough time. All my fact-based questions in RC go wrong. Inference-based questions o the other hand get marked with 70-80% accuracy. Please share what I can do to improve on the Fact-based RC question. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Rohit! The inference-based questions come to me naturally after reading, I do not use any such technique rather than the Process of elimination while solving Inference based questions.

what i usually do is see questions first before attempting rc so if there are any fact or direct question you can do directly when reading it and can you tell me about inference based question i usually get them wrong what is your approach for them
