What is the respective ratio of female visitors to the park in the month of October 2012 and December 2012?
Solution
Female visitors (in '000) to the park in the month of October 2012 = $$\frac{2}{5} \times 75 = 30$$
Female visitors (in '000) to the park in the month of December 2012 = $$\frac{4}{7} \times 126 = 72$$
=> Required ratio = $$\frac{30}{72} = \frac{5}{12}$$
= 5 : 12
