One-eighth of a number is what percent of it?

Solution

Let the number be x

 One-eighth of a number = $$ \frac{x}{8} $$

$$(\frac{x}{8} \div x) \times 100 $$ = $$\frac{100}{8} $$

Solving , we get

12.5% as answer
