A solid has 12 vertices and 30 edges. How many faces does it have?

Solution

Euler's formula : $$V + F - E = 2$$ where V is number of vertices , F is number of faces and E is number of edges.

It is given that V = 12 and E = 30

=> F = 2 + E - V

= 2 + 30 - 12 = 20

=> Ans - (D)
